Remove Stretch Marks Using Hemp Lotion

Stretch marks are called Striae Distensae or Striae Gravidarum. Some might also refer to them as Tiger Stripes or Angel Scratches.

Whether you have stretch marks from a pregnancy or you've simply developed them over the years, we have an all-natural solution so you don't have to feel stuck with them! We got the tip from  skin expert, Laura Dyer MSHS, PA-C, a dermatology and aesthetic specialist in New York City.

Striae can't always be prevented, but Dyer says staying hydrated, maintaining a healthy weight, and eating healthy foods rich in Vitamins C. D, and E, as well as zinc will help.

According to Dyer, we're more susceptible to getting stretch marks when our skin is dry or stretching quickly, like when we gain weight rapidly or during pregnancy.

What Are Stretch Marks?

They are long, narrow streaks, stripes, or lines that develop on the skin. They occur when the skin is suddenly stretched and are very common.

Anyone can develop Striae, although they tend to affect more women than men.

They can occur on the stomach, upper arms, thighs, hips, breasts, and lower back.

This type of scarring happens when the skin cannot resume normal form after a period of intense growth, often due to pregnancy, weight loss, weight gain, or puberty. Over 50 percent of women experience stretch marks sometime in life.

What Causes Stretch Marks?

This continual tugging and stretching of the skin can cause stretch marks. Striae sometimes appear when you rapidly gain or lose weight. Teenagers may also notice stretch marks after a growth spurt and over 50% of pregnant women will have them.

What Are The Benefits of Hemp Lotion?

Hemp Lotion contains  Essential Fatty Acids or EFA's. EFA's are fatty acids that the body needs for good health but the human body cannot synthesize them.  In order to remain healthy, we must seek them from outside sources.

Hemp lotion contains both Omega 3 and Omega 6 EFAs (Gamma-Linolenic acid). These essential fatty acids are often associated with, and also found in fish oil, which can contain high levels of mercury. Hemp Lotion's EFAs are sea and mercury free.

When used on the skin , Hemp's Omega Fatty Acids will help bolster your skin's suppleness and keep you looking great.

Hemp Lotions also contain key amino acids that help generate collagen and elastin. In short, Hemp Lotion will help your skin retain moisture while preventing stretch marks.

What Are The Best Ways To Prevent Stretch Marks?

Drinking lots of water may help keep your skin hydrated and soft. Soft skin doesn’t tend to develop stretch marks as much as dry skin does. The  Institute of Medicine’s current recommendations for daily water intake are 104 ounces for men and 72 ounces for women.

One of the most helpful things you can do to prevent stretch marks, whether you’re pregnant or not, is to maintain a healthy weight. Stretch marks can happen when your skin pulls apart quickly due to rapid weight gain. You may also notice stretch marks after rapid weight loss. Some people develop stretch marks during growth spurts, such as during puberty. Other people, like bodybuilders, notice them after big gains from working out or using steroids.

The best way for pregnant women to prevent stretch marks is to gain pregnancy weight slowly and steadily. You can work with your healthcare provider to find a diet and exercise plan that will help you avoid gaining too much while also giving you the nutrition you need to nourish you and your baby.

Does Hemp Lotion Help During Pregnancy?

In a recent study, 78 percent of pregnant women used a lotion to prevent stretch marks. Of these women, a third of them said they tried two or more products, with Hemp Lotion being the most frequently used.

Using Hemp Lotion for your Tiger Stripes or Angel Scratches does indeed work, with the added benefit of being fast absorbing, with no greasy residue,  it's great for those who only have a few minutes to apply it and be on their way.
