Best Vegan Chocolate Recipes for Winter 

Vegan Hot Chocolate

Who doesn't love a good cup of hot cocoa? We have the perfect recipe for you!

  • 8 oz almond milk
  • Dairy-free semi-sweet or dark chocolate
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tbsp raw sugar or stevia

To start, heat and melt chocolate and milk.

Stir in cocoa powder and stevia/sugar. Pour mixture of heated milk into a mug.  For extra flavor, consider adding a drop of peppermint extract for a minty twist. 

60 Second Mug Cake

Easily one of the quickest and tastiest vegan chocolate recipes out there, this mug cake is to die for.

  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp spelt flour
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp sugar or stevia
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp coconut oil
  • 3 tbsp almond milk
  • 1/2 cup vanilla extract

Combine dry ingredients. Add liquid slowly. Transfer combined ingredients to a coffee mug. Microwave for 45 seconds. Enjoy!

Chocolate Squares

Want a simple but tasty chocolate recipe? You're in luck. This one has just three ingredients, and you probably already have them in your kitchen.

  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup room temperature coconut oil
  • 2-3 tbsp pure maple syrup

Whisk ingredients. Pour mixture into chocolate bar molds. Store in the freezer overnight.

  • Optional: mashed, ripe banana

Using a small saucepan, combine dry ingredients. Stir in milk until it has absorbed into the mixture. Stir for about 5 minutes.

Top with more chocolate chips and banana slices as needed.

PS: This is great for breakfast and tastes just as great the rest of the day, too!

Chocolate Pudding

Creamy, rich, and delicious, this is one of the tastiest vegan chocolate recipes we know.

  • 1 can full-fat coconut milk
  • 1 1/4 cup almond milk
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup sugar or stevia 
  • 4 tbsp arrowroot starch
  • 2/3 cup vegan semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 tsp salt

Whisk cocoa powder, starch, and sugar/stevia. Combine wet ingredients. Stir regularly until bubbling. 

Remove from heat and slowly stir in chocolate chips, vanilla, and salt. Whisk until smooth. Refrigerate. Enjoy!
