Our Hemp Flour is produced by milling and sifting Hemp Seed Cake that is produced after crushing Hemp Seeds for oil. It's gluten-free and adds the delectable, nutty flavor of Hemp Seeds to your baked goods such as breads, muffins, cookies or waffles. Just substitute half the flour in your favorite recipes with Hemp Seed Flour. Hemp Seed Flour deepens the texture of bread, provides a nice serving of fiber, lots of omega essential fatty acids and increases the digestible protein.

We make our all-natural hemp seed flour in small batches so it's super fresh. Our Hemp Seed Flour is made from raw ingredients to ensure the health-giving nutrients and enzymes haven't been zapped out by heating. This makes our Hemp Seed Flour super healthy.

Hemp seed flour opens up options to people who need to be gluten-free, or those who are avoiding grains entirely. As an added plus, hemp seed flour does not just belong in baked goods. It also works well in a smoothie, which is more than we can say for the all-purpose flour we grew up with.

Hemp Seed Flour is also a complete source of all 20 known amino acids including the 9 essential amino acids which our bodies cannot produce. Approximately 65% of the protein in Hemp Seeds is made up of the globulin protein, Edestin, and is found only in Hemp Seeds. Edestin aids digestion, is relatively phosphorus-free, and considered the backbone of the cell’s DNA. The other one third of Hemp Seed protein is Albumin, another high-quality globulin protein similar to that found in egg whites. Hemp protein is free of the tryspin-inhibitors - which block protein absorption, and free of oligosaccharides - found in soy that cause stomach upset and gas.

Hemp Flour provides an excellent supply of antioxidants (Vitamin E), carotene (precursor to Vitamin A), phytosterols, phospholipids and a number of minerals including calcium, magnesium, sulfur, potassium, phosphorus, along with modest amounts of iron and zinc. Hemp Seeds also provide a good source of chlorophyll.

Please refrigerate after opening to ensure freshness.

Hemp is a 10,000 year old "superfood" plant documented as having been cultivated for thousands of years. Today, hemp is widely used in food and other commercial and industrial products.

Hippie Butter Hemp Seed products are made from hemp seeds that are non-irradiated, non-allergenic, never hexane-processed, THC-free, pesticide-free, gluten-free, trypsin-inhibitor-free, Kosher, Vegan-Friendly and Vegan-Certified.

Slow shipping on a great product!

Posted by TROY SCHERMER on 21st Feb 2017

Ordered my Hemp Flour on on February 1 and then received a tracking number on the 6th showing that it wasn't even shipped until the February 6th. I run a business and this is absolutely ridiculous turn-around time for shipping. It should have been same day or next day that it was shipped out! I am expecting when I order again much faster shipping!

    Hemp Flour a Good substitute.

Posted by Patty on 16th Jan 2017

I recently bought hemp flour to add to a cookie recipe I really like. I normally use almond and coconut flour when baking. I cut back on these two flours and I ncluded hemp flour and it worked very well.

    Awesome Hemp Flour!

Posted by Katie Z on 7th Jun 2016

I highly recommend this hemp flour. I bought it to add a complete protein and fiber to my baked goods as well as a multitude of other minerals and nutrients. It has a delicious, nutty flavor and mixes well. This hemp flour has a great texture. I make muffins and bread with and without yeast. I like to add an extra egg or applesauce to mine! Know that this flour is packed with healthy fiber so it does make baked goods more dense. I used 1 part hemp flour to three parts other flour (whole wheat or brown rice or anything). So good!!!

    Nutritious and Delicious!

I subbed this flour for quinoa flour in waffles and in veggie pulp muffins, and it's a perfect substitute! I think it made the waffles taste better too. Highly recommend this as it has 4x the protein as quinoa flour does.

    Baking alternative to protein powder

Posted by Curtis S. Phinney, CNS on 24th May 2015

I tried hemp seed flour in place of [another brand] hemp protein powder. My current application is a relatively hard hemp based dog cookie treat. The lower moisture in the flour yields a drier biscuit, with lower edge deformation and crumbling, than the protein powder. I'm now buying this product by the case.

    Great addition to seitan

Posted by Kevin S. Clarke on 1st Apr 2015

This was my first time trying the hemp seed flour and I really like it. I put some into my home made seitan. I usually just use soy flour. But, with a little of the soy and hemp seed flours, the seitan came out with a nice falafel like flavor. Very tasty. I'll definitely try adding it to other things now as well (muffins, etc.) Thanks!
